The index is the original portal that Fuglymons were using to cross between Universes. Its origin is unknown, and capabilities of the device are still being discovered. The index "indexed" one of each specie of Fuglymon by Trapping the unfortunate creatures inside of an NFT. Luckily for the rest, only the first of each specie has been trapped...for researching purposes, of course
